Cummings Great Expectations employs an Educare-inspired model, which demonstrates that research-based early childhood education prevents the persistent achievement gap for our nation’s young children with the highest need. Research shows that children who grow up in poverty face developmental disadvantages that is evident as early as 18 months of age. These disadvantages are shown to have a lasting effect on a child's academic and professional success throughout their entire life.
Our Method
Too many children enter kindergarten unprepared and struggle to catch up to their peers. Fortunately, there is a wide body of research, which demonstrates that early childhood interventions, particularly in the first years of life, do work.
